Tori Amos, From the Choirgirl Hotel

Dinleyen bir avuc insan vardir. Ve bir avuc insan olmaya  devam edecektir. Cogu insani sinir edecek, ruhunu ezecek, nesesini    sondurecek, bunalima sokacak bir di$i. Ama zaten siz de oyle biriyseniz veya hep oyleleriyle ilgilendiyseniz, o zaman Tori dinleme vaktidir. Melodisi ve lirikleri size cok yakin...

Tori son albumu From the Choirgirl Hotel'de onceki albumlerine gore cok daha gruba onem veren, muzikalite acisindan guclu, rock agirlikli bir album yapmis. Piyanodan gitara bir kayis hissediliyor. Bir iki sarki disinda "piyanosu ve Tori'den oykuler"i pek bulamayacaksiniz.

Diskin ilk  parcasi Spark. Gecen yil evlenen Tori hamile kalir ve dusuk yapar. Bu da tam Tori'ye goredir ya... Spark'ta soyle der bizimki:

 

"She's convinced she could hold back a glacier, but she couldn't keep the baby alive"

 

Tum sarkilarinda hem bir eziklik, sefillik hem de tatli, guzel bir isik var Tori'nin. Gece saatlerine uyumlu, ama uyku muzigi degil.

 

Piyanoyu ozletmeyecek sarkilar da var son albumde, liquid diamonds, sanki denizaltindaki elmaslar gibi hem pariltili hem huzunlu..

Ve album yine muhtesem bir sarkiyla sona erer Pandora's Aquarium. Onceki albumlerinin tadini veriyor. Ilk dinleyiste belki carpilmayacaksiniz ama sonra bu track repeat'te dinlenir!

Tori sevenlerdenseniz bu albumu zaten alacaksiniz. Bilmeyenler icin ise, en azindan lirikler sizde bir kivilcim yarattiysa inanin bana melodisiyle birlikte Tori'den cok hoslanacaksiniz.
